Effective date: 21 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TEM APP LTD (“we”, “us”) processes data when you use Daily Budget & Expense, an expense and income tracker for iPhone and Android (the “App”), and the temfy.app/finance/ section of the website (the “Website”). We are the controller of this data for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Purchases made on the Website are handled by ART APP LTD as described in section 6.
Everything you enter — accounts (name, type, currency, opening balance), transactions (amount, date, time, note, account, category), categories and settings — is stored on your device. Without a shared budget, it is not sent to our servers.
iCloud (iPhone). If you have Premium and turn on sync, your personal data is stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple account (CloudKit) and synced between your devices. This database is run by Apple; we have no access to it.
Android. Data is stored on the phone. If Android backup is turned on, the system may include the App’s data in your device backup in your Google account; that backup is controlled by you and Google.
Deleting the App deletes the data on the device; iCloud data can be deleted in your iCloud settings. We cannot restore it.
An account is needed only for Shared budget, which lets you keep accounts together with other people (up to 5 members). You can sign in with Apple (iPhone only), with Google, or with an email and password. Accounts and shared budgets are provided by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions).
What we store.
Who can see it. Shared budget data is visible only to its members. Members see your name, or your email address if no name is available; you can change the name shown to members in the App. We do not look at the contents of shared budgets unless we need to in order to resolve a problem you report or the law requires it.
Notifications to members. When a member adds, changes or deletes a transaction or an account, or joins or leaves the budget, the other members get a push notification with the author’s name, the budget name and the transaction’s amount and category. Notifications are sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) and the Apple Push Notification service (on iPhone). You can mute a budget in the App and turn off all notifications in your device settings.
Where it is stored. The Cloud Firestore database is located in the European Union (eur3 multi-region), and our server functions run in europe-west1 (Belgium).
On iPhone, Premium is bought through the App Store; Apple processes the payment and we never see payment details. Purchases are managed by RevenueCat (USA), which receives an anonymous ID and your purchase history and, if you are signed in for Shared budget, your account ID, so that your subscription works in the shared budget. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. On Android, Premium is available only on the Website.
The App does not collect contacts, precise location, photos, health data, browsing or search history, or advertising data.
Premium bought on temfy.app/finance/premium/ is sold and billed by ART APP LTD (a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales, company number 16291637, registered office 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE), which is the controller of the payment and subscription data described in this section.
Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics; Sign in with Google; Google Analytics on the Website), Apple (App Store, iCloud, Sign in with Apple, push notifications, Apple Search Ads install source), RevenueCat, Stripe, Yandex (Yandex.Metrica on the Website), Open Exchange Rates (no personal data), Netlify (hosting of the Website and its server functions, storage of support request details) and Telegram FZ-LLC (delivery of support requests). Account and shared budget data is stored in the European Union; RevenueCat, Stripe, Netlify and some other providers may process data in the United States and other countries. These transfers are protected by the safeguards required by UK GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Data on your device and in iCloud is kept until you delete it. Account and shared budget data is kept while your account or the shared budget exists. Deleted shared budget entries are marked as deleted and permanently erased from our servers after 90 days; a budget deleted by its last member is erased with all its contents after 90 days as well. The Website subscription record (the email hash and its link to the App’s installation ID) is kept for as long as it is needed to provide and restore access, and is deleted at your request; support requests are kept in our Telegram conversation for as long as needed to answer them; payment records are kept for as long as the law requires. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the services in section 5.
In the App: Settings → Shared budget → Delete account. After you confirm your identity by signing in again, we delete your account, your profile, your notification tokens and the invites you created, remove you from all shared budgets and revoke your Sign in with Apple token. Budgets where you are the only member are deleted (permanently after 90 days). Budgets with other members stay with them: ownership passes to another member, and the entries you added remain part of the budget, without your name or email — only a technical author ID.
Deleting the account does not affect your personal data on the device or in iCloud and does not cancel a subscription: cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID settings and a Website subscription on the Manage subscription page. To have your RevenueCat purchase record or Website subscription record deleted, email us. You can leave a shared budget at any time on the shared budget screen; the owner can change members’ roles.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email us at artappltd@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority in your country.
Data travels between the App, the Website and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Security rules on the server let only members of a shared budget read or change it, within their role. Your personal data is stored on your device, so please protect it with a passcode and keep it updated.
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at temfy.app/finance/privacy.html.
