This Privacy Policy explains how ART APP LTD (“we”, “us”) processes data when you use the Temfy - Habit Tracker mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”) and the temfy.app website (the “Website”). We are the controller of this data for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Habits, check-ins, reminders, settings, your name and the “letter to yourself” you enter are stored locally on your device. We have no access to them. Deleting the App deletes this data.
Backups. On iOS, if you turn on sync, App data is stored in your own iCloud account (Apple). On Android, App data may be included in Android Auto Backup in your Google account if it is enabled on your device. We have no access to these backups.
Installation ID. The App creates a random identifier that is not linked to your identity. It is used to check the status of your subscription and, on iOS, as the identifier in the analytics and purchase services listed in section 4.
Optional sign-in with Apple or Google. Signing in is optional and is used only to find and restore a subscription. Apple or Google gives the App a signed token; our server verifies it and reads your email address. We store only an irreversible hash (SHA-256) of the address and its link to the installation ID — not the address itself.
Permissions. Notifications are used for habit reminders and can be turned off in your device settings. On iOS the App may ask for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency); if you decline, the advertising identifier is not used.
Server requests. To check subscription status, handle sign-in and activation codes and check for a new version of the Android App, the App sends requests to our server. A temporary request counter based on an irreversible hash of your IP address is kept to prevent abuse; the IP address itself is not stored.
Buying on the Website. To subscribe to Habit Tracker Pro on the Website you sign in with Apple or Google. We verify the sign-in token and store only an irreversible hash (SHA-256) of your email address, linked to your subscription (status, plan, renewal date, Stripe customer and subscription IDs) and to an activation code; when you sign in or enter the code in the App, the hash is also linked to the App’s installation ID. The email address itself is passed to Stripe for the payment and receipt and is not stored by us.
Website. The Website uses Google Analytics and Yandex.Metrica, which use cookies to collect anonymous visit data (pages viewed, referrer, device type). The cookie banner on the Website explains this.
The Android App does not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the safeguards required by UK GDPR, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
Data on your device is kept until you delete it or the App. The subscription record (the email hash and its link to the installation ID) is kept for as long as it is needed to provide and restore access to your subscription, and is deleted at your request. Analytics and crash data are kept according to the retention settings of the providers listed in section 4.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email us at artappltd@gmail.com. Because most data never leaves your device, you can also delete it yourself by deleting your habits or the App.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority in your country.
Data travels between the App and our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We store only hashed identifiers, not email addresses.
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at temfy.app/habits/privacy.html; for significant changes we will also let you know in the App.
